Job summary

iRock School of Music is seeking a Band Coach to lead high-energy sessions across primary schools in the UK. You will teach at least two instruments and mentor children through performances, while building strong relationships with pupils, parents and staff.

The role is full-time, with 40 hours per week, paid holidays, mileage reimbursement, and a supportive team culture focused on growth and excellence in music education.

Qualifications

• Competent on at least two instruments.
• Friendly, upbeat and able to connect quickly with children and adults.
• Inspiring children through music.
• Organised and able to manage a varied weekly timetable.
• Reliable and dedicated to giving each child a great experience.
• A clear communicator who adapts to different environments.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Lead fun, high-energy band sessions for groups of primary-aged children across up to 10 schools weekly.
• Teach drums, keyboard, guitar and vocals with confidence in at least two.
• Build warm, positive relationships with pupils, parents and school staff.
• Help children prepare for live performances.
• Carry out light daily admin (about 30 minutes).
• Support learners working towards entry-level music awards.
• Set up and pack away equipment as part of daily routine.
