An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical or Forensic Psychologist, who is passionate about working with men and women who are transitioning out of secure care to live in the community. This is a full time, permanent post based in the Specialist Community Forensic Team. We welcome applications from Psychologists with significant mental health experience with adults with severe and enduring mental health problems and personality disorder. Previous experience of working with service users who have come in contact with forensic services is also considered essential.
Applicants would be expected to have skills to provide forensic consultation, clinical psychological assessment, risk assessment, formulation and treatment planning; and where appropriate, implementing specialist psychological interventions for individuals, carers, families and groups. A large proportion of the role will be offering advice, guidance and consultation on psychological aspects of an individual’s care to colleagues and other service providers. This can often require leading on case management planning and admission avoidance consultations.
Applicants would also need to have skills in teaching/training and in clinical supervision. This role will involve providing clinical supervision to MDT members and implementing indicated training for the SCFT, other service providers and key stakeholders.

Applicants would also need to have skills in teaching/training and in clinical supervision. This post will have clinical responsibility for providing clinical supervision to multi-disciplinary team members and implementing training that may be indicate as required for the SCFT; as well as to other service providers and key stakeholders.
The role may involve some travelling at times within the AWP geographical area.
