The Forward Trust in Thurrock seeks a Part Time Non-Medical Prescriber to lead safe prescribing practices for clients affected by drug and alcohol dependence. You will provide expert prescribing, lead management of complex cases and support high-quality, person-centred care.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and partner agencies, promote safe prescribing, and guide colleagues to ensure compassionate service delivery.

Qualifications

• Must be an NMC-registered nurse with current practice status.
• Qualified Non-Medical Prescriber with prescribing authority within the scope of practice.
• Significant experience in substance misuse services and complex case management.
• Proven leadership and ability to support, guide and develop practitioners.

Responsabilités

• Provide safe, evidence-based non-medical prescribing for substance dependence clients.
• Assess and manage complex cases, ensuring prescribing decisions meet individual needs.
• Offer expert prescribing guidance to a multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with partner agencies and external organisations involved in substance misuse services.
• Demonstrate clinical leadership to promote best practice and high standards of care.
• Undertake management responsibilities to support service delivery and development.
