Job summary

Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in England seeks a part-time Dramatherapist (NHS AfC: Band 7) to join the Adult Arts Therapies team. The post covers North West Surrey/North East Hampshire with a base at Unither House and involves flexible working across the trust as needed.

Applicants should have HCPC registration as an Arts therapist (Drama), with experience in mental health, assessment and intervention, and a readiness to engage in group and individual arts psychotherapy

Qualifications

HCPC registered Arts therapist (Drama).
Additional training relevant to area of work.
Leadership or management qualification or experience.
Experience of working autonomously.
Experience of working as part of a multi disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

To undertake initial screening appointments, assessment and provide group and individual art(s) psychotherapy.
To liaise with professionals, carers, relatives and external agencies as required.
Maintain up to date risk assessments for service users directly involved in your care.
To involve people who use services and their carers in their personal care plans taking their individual needs and preferences into account.
To help advise other professionals and trainees engaged in mental health work about the role and suitability of arts psychotherapies interventions.
