Job Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and committed candidate to apply for this Band 8a post, or a Band 7 developmental post with the opportunity to become a Band 8a within a supported structure. Responsibilities would be adjusted accordingly. The move to a Band 8a post would be upon completion of required competencies as agreed and reviewed with managers.

The Paediatric Psychology Team, comprising over 20 specialists, is part of a larger CAMHS provision within Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland. We are a growing team dedicated to providing expert mental health services for children and young people.

Our department values reflective practice, with regular team care spaces, CPD sessions, case discussions, peer supervision, and safeguarding supervision. We are committed to ongoing professional development and offer training in EMDR, ACT for Physical Health, and Systemic practice. You will also have opportunities to provide reflective practice support to medical and allied health colleagues.

Main Duties

The position primarily involves working within General Paediatrics, with potential collaboration across other medical specialties within the Children's Hospital.
