Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist - Renal, permanent B8B 1wte position
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a 1WTE Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist (8b) to support the Renal Psychology team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. We have an established renal psychosocial team. The successful candidate will join a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, an Assistant Psychologist and a Young Adult Worker working as an integrated part of the renal multidisciplinary team where Clinical Psychology is highly valued.
The renal service is a regional service which cares for patients with acute and chronic renal failure. The catchment area for adult transplants covers much of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and South Staffordshire.
The successful applicant will provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and opinion and will provide psychological intervention for adults with kidney failure, including treatment and management of a complex and diverse range of patients within the renal service.
The work will involve inpatient and outpatient work and include face-to-face and virtual work. In addition to a clinical caseload, you will have the opportunity to lead on the further development of stepped care referral pathways and the development of specialist training for renal staff as well as contribute to renal complex care MDT meetings.
The successful applicants will be warmly welcomed to the rapidly growing Department of Clinical Psychology & Neuropsychology within the Trust. Currently there are over 30 Clinical Psychologists, and Assistant and Trainee Clinical Psychologists working across a number of medical inpatient and outpatient services within the Trust. We have excellent links with the University of Nottingham, Nottingham Trent University and the regional Clinical Psychology Doctorate Courses.
