Job summary

HCRG Care Group in Gravesham Community Hospital, Gravesend, is seeking a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join a supportive multidisciplinary team, 37.5 hours per week.

You will assess, diagnose, and treat adults with communication and swallowing disorders, work with senior clinicians, and contribute to service development while enjoying flexible care approaches, ongoing professional development, and access to benefits listed.

Qualifications

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification.
• HCPC registration.
• RCSLT membership.
• Experience working with adults with communication and swallowing disorders across a range of conditions.
• Proactive approach to learning and development, with a passion for person-centred care.
• Confidence using IT systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, diagnosis, therapy, and advice for adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
• Work closely with senior clinicians to deliver high-quality, person-centred interventions.
• Manage a varied caseload that may include patients with neurological conditions, head and neck cancer, voice, and dysfluency disorders.
• Contribute to service development and multidisciplinary meetings as part of the Community Neurological Rehabilitation Team (CNRT).
• Receive support and supervision to develop clinical expertise and build confidence in your specialist areas.
