Job summary

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 6 Specialist Psychological Practitioner for Ardenleigh Women’s Secure Blended Service. The role involves working within a multidisciplinary team to provide specialised psychological interventions for women with complex trauma and mental health needs.

You will assess, formulate, and deliver interventions, supervise staff, and participate in risk assessments and programme development within the National WSPT framework.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering psychological interventions for complex trauma, personality disorder and mental illness.
• Ability to deliver individual and group psychological interventions.
• Experience with risk assessments and behavioural management plans.
• Ability to supervise and train staff; collaboration with MDT.
• Registration and professional eligibility to practice in relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological assessments, formulations and interventions for women with complex presentations.
• Deliver individual and group psychological interventions and contribute to care plans on the ward.
• Supervise, provide reflective practice, consultation and training to staff as part of the MDT.
• Contribute to risk assessments and behavioural management plans for service users.
• Collaborate with ward staff to enhance psychological understanding and provide staff training.
