Job summary

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Specialist Psychological Practitioner to join Ardenleigh Women's Secure Blended Service. The role involves delivering specialist psychological interventions within a multidisciplinary team and providing supervision and training.

You will work with women presenting with complex trauma and mental illness, contribute to risk assessment, formulation and treatment planning, and help support ward staff to enhance

Qualifications

• Regulatory registration with a recognized body (e.g. HCPC/UKCP/BACP/BABCP/NMC/BASW).
• Completion of accredited psychological therapy training (e.g. CBT, CAT, DBT or Art Psychotherapy).
• Degree or equivalent in Education, Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, Psychotherapy, RMN, Occupational Therapy or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, formulation and delivery of psychological interventions for complex forensic mental health issues.
• Deliver individual and group psychological interventions; contribute to risk assessments and behavioural management plans.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team and provide supervision, training and consultation.
• Support ward staff to enhance psychological understanding and provide evaluation of interventions.
