Job summary

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Specialist Psychological Practitioner to join Ardenleigh Women’s Secure Blended Service. The post supports women with complex trauma and mental health needs, delivering individual and group interventions within a multi-disciplinary team.

The role offers opportunities for supervision, training and career development in a nationally recognised women’s secure pathway program.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Education, Social Work, Counselling, Psychology or related field.
• Registered with the appropriate regulatory body and relevant practice training.
• Additional training in psychological therapies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support assessment, formulation and delivery of psychological interventions.
• Conduct individual and group psychological work with women in care.
• Contribute to risk assessments and behavioural management plans.
• Provide training and supervision to ward staff and MDT colleagues.
