Job summary

Royal Trinity Hospice in London seeks a Band 6 Physiotherapist for a fixed-term maternity cover to deliver high-quality palliative physiotherapy. The role spans inpatient, outpatient, and community settings across seven London boroughs, collaborating with the Therapies team to support patients to achieve goals.

You will join a specialist Therapies Team providing evidence-based interventions, with opportunities for training and development. The salary range reflects AfC Band 6 terms.

Qualifications

• Recognised Physiotherapy Degree and up to date HCPC registration.
• Demonstrable experience in palliative care across multiple clinical areas.
• Impeccable assessment, treatment intervention and goal setting skills.
• Experience with evidence-based practice and outcome measures.
• Enthusiasm and a flexible attitude to work.
• Autonomous work and effective team collaboration.
• Passion for caring for adults with life-limiting conditions with high care standards.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Holistic approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Provide a patient-centred specialist Physiotherapy service to palliative care patients in IPU, outpatient, or community settings.
• Work independently and as part of the inter-disciplinary team, applying clinical PT skills.
• Engage with IDT meetings and contribute to clinical planning and service improvement.
• Supervise junior staff, palliative care assistants, students and volunteers.
• Contribute to evaluation and development of Therapies Service in line with organisational objectives.
• Communicate effectively within the organisation and externally.
