Job summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Early Intervention Occupational Therapist to join the community team. This part-time role is 15.7 hours per week, with a fixed-term of 12 months, and a pro rata salary of £39,959–£48,117 per year.

Based in North Birmingham, you will deliver home-based OT input and work flexibly across 7 days. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and promote independence, while maintaining

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
• Current Health and Care Professions Council registration.
• Extensive evidence of post-registration CPD and ongoing development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions in the community.
• Promote independence and develop individual care plans for service users.
• Work multi-professionally with partners to prevent avoidable admissions.
• Supervise, mentor and supervise junior staff and students where appropriate.
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure timely access to urgent and routine OT services in patients' homes.
