Mid Cheshire Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Locum Dietitian to join our team in Macclesfield. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide specialized dietetic services within the community. If you are passionate about improving patient nutrition and health and have the flexibility to travel for home visits, we encourage you to apply. This position is available immediately and offers an ongoing contract.

Responsibilities:
As a Band 6 Locum Dietitian you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive nutritional assessments and developing individualized care plans for patients in the community. This includes providing dietary advice, monitoring patient progress, and adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal health outcomes. You will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Additionally, you will maintain accurate patient records, participate in clinical audits, and contribute to the development of dietetic services. Your role will also involve providing education and support to patients and their families, ensuring they understand their nutritional needs and how to manage their diets effectively. The ability to travel for home visits across Cheshire is essential, so access to a car is required.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Degree in Dietetics and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Proven experience in community dietetics.
  • Strong clinical skills in nutritional assessment, care planning, and intervention.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest advancements in dietetics.
  • Ability to travel for home visits, with access to a car.
