Job Overview

The Woodland Neonatal Unit at Watford Hospital, part of the East of England Neonatal network, is seeking a dedicated Band 6 Neonatal Nurse. The unit provides intensive care, high dependency, and special care for newborns, along with a 6-bedded Transitional Care Unit.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based neonatal care with a family-centered approach.
  • Work autonomously while managing clinical risks and seeking guidance when necessary.
  • Lead and coordinate shifts, support junior staff and pre-registration student nurses.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience working in a neonatal unit at a senior level.
  • Expertise in managing complex cases requiring intensive support.
  • Previous Band 6 or management experience is desirable.
