Job Introduction
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic nurse with a special interest in cardiology to join the Community Cardiac Rehabilitation Team in Swale (Sittingbourne and Sheppey). The successful candidate will join our multidisciplinary team, working in collaboration to motivate and inspire patients and their carers to engage in improving their health and recovery following a cardiac event.
We provide high quality care which is focused on improving patient’s health and quality of life through health education, advice on cardiovascular risk reduction, physical activity and stress management as recommended in the BACPR standards. The successful candidate would work in both inpatient and outpatient settings across phases 1-3 of the cardiac rehabilitation programme. The successful candidate will also offer support to the Cardiac Specialist Nurses who manage patients with LVSD.
This is a full time role 37.5 hours, working Monday to Friday, no weekends or bank holidays.

The Ideal Candidate
The post holder will require at least 2 years post qualification experience and to have worked within the cardiac speciality. A qualification of ENB 998 or Mentorship/Qualification certificate is essential, including a post graduate qualification in Cardiac Conditions (certificate).
It will be desirable to have completed a Cardiac course, have BACPR parts 1 & 2 and be a Non-medical prescriber.
As part of a small dynamic team, you will have regular supervision, training, and support from highly skilled colleagues to address your learning needs and will work closely with members of the MDT. HCRG care group actively promotes CPD and provides access to funding for courses, the opportunity to participate in research and quality improvement and for career progression.
You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential.
