You will join our friendly and experienced Main Theatre team, working alongside leading consultants and skilled theatre colleagues. Our 10 theatres deliver complex surgery across Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Spinal Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, Plastics, ENT, Ophthalmology and Cancer Services.

You do not need experience in every specialty. If you have strong scrub experience in one area and would like to broaden your skills, our team will support your development.

As a Theatre Scrub Practitioner, you will help deliver safe and effective care throughout each patient's surgical journey.

You will prepare instruments and equipment, assist during procedures and anticipate the needs of the surgical team. You will work across different specialties, giving you the opportunity to build a broad range of scrub skills.

What you will be doing

  • Maintaining a safe and sterile theatre environment
  • Anticipating the needs of surgeons during procedures
  • Completing WHO safety checks and patient documentation
  • Working closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, recovery practitioners and theatre colleagues
  • Supporting students, newly qualified colleagues and new starters

What we are looking for

What you will be part of

You will join a supportive Main Theatre team where people share their knowledge, help one another and take pride in delivering excellent patient care.

Our 10 modern theatres offer exposure to a varied and complex surgical caseload. This means you can broaden your experience while continuing to develop expertise in the specialties that interest you.

Our theatre teams are also recognised for innovation. The London Clinic recently participated in a landmark robot assisted telesurgery procedure, where surgeons in London successfully operated on a patient in Gibraltar.

At The London Clinic, everything starts with our people. You will be part of a team that makes a meaningful difference to patients and to one another every day.

As the UK's largest independent charitable hospital, we care for more than 120,000 patients each year. We reinvest our success into our services, technology and people

You will join more than 1,300 colleagues and over 700 consultant surgeons and physicians working across 234 beds, 10 theatres and a 13 bed intensive care unit.
