What you’ll be part of

At The London Clinic, everything starts with our people. Established in 1932, we are one of the UK’s largest independent charitable hospitals, dedicated to providing exceptional care and advancing healthcare for the benefit of our patients and wider community.

We care for more than 120,000 patients each year and reinvest our surplus into our people, facilities, technology and charitable activities. Our hospital has 234 beds, 10 theatres and a 13 bed Intensive Care Unit, supported by more than 1,300 colleagues and over 700 leading consultants.

You will join our Main Theatres Department, which consists of 10 operating theatres delivering a broad range of elective and complex procedures across multiple surgical specialties. Our teams work alongside some of the UK’s leading surgeons, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary professionals to provide safe, personalised care and achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients.

The Orthopaedic service is a key part of the department, supporting major joint replacements, complex revision procedures, spinal surgery, sports injury surgery and other specialist interventions. You will work within a modern theatre environment equipped with advanced surgical technology, including robotic surgery, giving you excellent opportunities to further develop your orthopaedic expertise.

In March 2026, The London Clinic became the first hospital in the UK to successfully perform remote robot assisted telesurgery, with a surgeon in London operating on a patient in Gibraltar more than 2,400 kilometres away. This achievement reflects our commitment to innovation and gives our theatre teams the opportunity to work at the forefront of surgical advancement and emerging technology.

You will become part of an experienced and supportive team that values collaboration, professional development and recognition. You will have the opportunity to contribute to service improvement, support junior colleagues and play an active role in maintaining high standards across the department.

The London Clinic has also been recognised in the Financial Times Best Employers Survey 2026, reflecting our continued commitment to creating a workplace where our people feel valued, supported and able to develop.
