Job summary

The Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Band 5 Staff Nurse for our in-patient multidisciplinary team. You will work with service users, families, friends and carers to improve their experience and outcomes.

Responsibilities include promoting safety through risk assessment and evidence-based practice, developing coproduced, personalised care plans, providing health information to service users and carers, delivering treatment, and offering supervision and mentoring

Job description

The Band 5 Staff Nurse role is a key member of the in-patient multidisciplinary team. Working with service users and their families, friends and carers to help make a difference to the experience of those using our services by:

• Demonstrating kindness, respect and compassion.
• Helping to keep people safe through good risk assessment and good clinical practice.
• Helping to develop coproduced plans of care, which are personalised and responsive to peoples needs.
• Providing health promotion information to service users and carers.
• Undertaking effective treatment supported and delivered in line with current legislation, standards and evidence based guidance.
• Providing supervision and mentoring to other staff and students.
• Being part of the AWP vision to provide high quality care.
• We are the lead provider of healthcare for people with serious mental illness, learning disabilities and autism across Bath and North East Somerset (BaNES), Swindon and Wiltshire, and Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
