Job summary

Hywel Dda University Health Board in Pembrokeshire is seeking a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit at Withybush General Hospital. The role involves assessing, diagnosing and treating acutely unwell patients so they can sleep at home rather than be admitted.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, with rotational placement across the Adult Clinical Decisions Unit (ACDU). Welsh language skills are desirable, and interviews are scheduled for 30/11/2026.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with NHS registration and current practice in acute care settings.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment.
• Welsh language is desirable; English/Welsh speakers are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the SDEC unit for acutely unwell patients.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose and treat patients on the same day.
• Rotate across the Adult Clinical Decisions Unit (ACDU) as part of a 7-day rota.
