We are seeking to recruit committed, proactive registered nurses or students due to qualify this year to join our friendly outpatient department. We run various clinics across all three hospital sites: The Princess Alexandra Hospital, St Margaret’s Hospital, and Herts and Essex Hospital.
You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, providing services locally and regionally to ensure a high standard of patient care and an excellent patient journey through our services and beyond.
We recognize the importance of learning and development by providing training and support tailored to specific needs, such as leadership. You will have a dedicated team leader to support your learning objectives and will support the development of student nurses and junior colleagues within the department. We are committed to your lifelong learning and development.
If you are joining as a newly qualified nurse, you will be enrolled in a structured preceptorship course to support your transition from student to registered nurse.

Responsibilities include providing effective, holistic, patient-centered care, ensuring high standards are met, and practicing evidence-based care at all times. You will be responsible for updating your knowledge and skills in line with Trust policies, the multidisciplinary team, and the NMC Code. Developing leadership skills, participating in service development, and demonstrating strong communication skills are essential.
For newly qualified nurses, it is vital to consolidate your practice by completing relevant clinical and mandatory competencies, with support from the MDT and colleagues.
This is an exciting time for the outpatient department as we work towards improving services from "Good" to "Outstanding".

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) provides a full range of acute, outpatient, and diagnostic services at three hospital sites in Harlow, Bishop’s Stortford, and Epping.
