Job summary

The Isle of Wight NHS Trust is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse (Band 5) to join the AAU department on a permanent, full-time basis. The post offers a pro rata salary of £32,073–£39,043 per year and provides opportunities to develop skills in a fast-paced, patient-centred environment.

You will lead assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care, working independently with support from a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with live NMC Pin.
• Desirable: Completion of work based learning nursing modules.
• Desirable: Completion of mandatory training updates.
• Knowledge: Evidence of relevant post basic study.
• Knowledge: Current developments in NHS and implications for nursing and quality care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs and develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care without direct supervision.
• Deliver care in accordance with the NMC Code of Conduct and Trust policies.
• Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records.
• Demonstrate professional behaviour at all times.
• Communicate effectively and courteously with patients, relatives, and colleagues.
• Maintain patient comfort, dignity, and privacy.
• Identify and escalation concerns where quality of care or safety may be compromised.
• Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
• Support and supervise healthcare support workers and student nurses.
• Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive environment promoting equality and diversity.
• Engage in continuous professional development opportunities.
