Job summary

Isle of Wight NHS Trust is seeking enthusiastic Registered Nurses to join the AAU department in Newport. Band 5 positions offer the opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care in a fast-paced acute setting.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, working independently while supported by a multidisciplinary team and experienced clinicians. This post includes the Band 5 salary (£32,073 - £39,043 pro rata, per annum).

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with live NMC Pin.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to patient-centred care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs and develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care without direct supervision.
• Deliver care in accordance with the NMC Code of Conduct and Trust policies.
• Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records.
• Demonstrate professional behaviour at all times.
• Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and colleagues.
• Maintain patient comfort, dignity and privacy.
• Identify and escalate concerns where quality of care or safety may be compromised.
• Work with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
• Support and supervise healthcare support workers and student nurses.
• Promote equality and diversity and engage in CPD.
