Job summary

Pulse Nursing is seeking skilled Accident & Emergency nurses to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS FT in Preston. This fast-paced role offers opportunities to develop clinical skills and deliver patient-centred care alongside a multidisciplinary team.

PAYE rates range £17.00–£32.00 per hour, with umbrella rates up to £32 for Sundays and bank holidays. Weekly pay, DBS/Occupational Health clearance and strong support from a dedicated Pulse Nursing consultant are provided.

Qualifications

  • Valid NMC registration.
  • Minimum 6 months' recent A&E experience within last 12 months.
  • Ability to provide two professional references covering previous 3 years.
  • DBS and Occupational Health clearance compliance.
  • Proof of right to work in the UK.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care within a busy Accident & Emergency department.
  • Assess, monitor, and manage patients presenting with acute and emergency conditions.
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely and safe patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation.
  • Adhere to NMC guidelines, trust policies, and clinical governance standards.
  • Respond calmly and effectively in high-pressure and emergency situations.

Hourly Pay Rate: £17.00 - £32.00 per hour

Pulse Nursing is seeking skilled and experienced Accident & Emergency nurses to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS FT.

As an A&E nurse, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional, patient-centred care. This highly rewarding role offers the opportunity to continuously develop your clinical skills while making a meaningful difference to patients at some of their most critical moments.

PAYE rates are £17.00 per hour for days, £22.00 for nights and Saturdays, and £28.00 for Sundays and bank holidays, or Umbrella rates are £20.00 per hour for days, £25.00 for nights and Saturdays, and £32.00 for Sundays and bank holidays.
