Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel in Guernsey is seeking a Band 3 Support Worker to provide practical, emotional, and social support to adults with learning disabilities, enabling independence and active participation in daily life.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Care Certificate or willingness to pursue.
• Full driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, emotional and social support to individuals with learning disabilities, facilitating independence and engagement in daily activities.
• Assist service users with personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, household tasks, budgeting and community access, following care plans.
• Uphold wellbeing, dignity, safeguarding and human rights with a person-centred, strengths-based approach.
• Act as a Key Worker for designated individuals, aiding in care planning, reviews, health appointments and outcomes.
• Keep accurate care records, incident reports and documentation per organisational procedures and standards.

Education

NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care
