Job summary

Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Reception & Distribution Operative (Band 2) to join the Procurement service. The role involves receiving stock, delivering to non-clinical areas, and ensuring accurate stock rotation to support safe patient care.

You will work as part of a team within a busy NHS environment, handling goods, using barcode systems, and maintaining strict storage and safety procedures. NHS Pension is available.

Qualifications

• Experience handling stock in a healthcare or retail environment.
• Ability to follow procedures for goods receiving and storage.
• Attention to detail in checking deliveries against orders.

Responsibilities

• Receive stock, deliver and unpack supplies for non-clinical areas.
• Unpack and replenish stores across wards and departments with rotation.
• Check deliveries against requisition/receipt numbers and resolve discrepancies.
• Transport supplies securely to different locations across the Trust.
• Maintain secure storage and follow health and safety rules.
• Carry out duties as requested by line manager.
• Participate in development of service policies and procedures.
