Job summary

The Moseley Hall Hospital domestic team within Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting four Band 2 Domestic Assistants to provide a high-standard cleaning service across the Moseley Hall Hospital site in Birmingham. Various part-time contracts are available (5 days out of 7 on 15 hours, 3 days on 22.5 hours, or 3 days on 21 hours weekly).

The role focuses on delivering a clean, safe clinical environment, using appropriate equipment, and supporting infection prevention

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Domestic Services or equivalent; willingness to undertake within 6 months.
• Good basic education with ability to read, write and do numerical tasks.
• Experience using electrical cleaning machinery and working in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the environment is cleaned in line with national cleaning standards.
• Operate electrical cleaning machinery and clean medical equipment as scheduled.
• Report maintenance issues to supervisors and undertake enhanced cleaning when required.
• Maintain adequate supplies of consumables and follow health and safety requirements.
• Follow infection prevention and control measures and safety policies.
