Job summary

Warburtons, the UK's No. 1 Bakery Brand, is seeking a senior Quality Lead to drive the Unbeatable Quality program across our Bolton bakeries.

You will lead quality projects, provide technical expertise to bakeries, and collaborate with suppliers and innovation teams to ensure legislative and quality standards are met. The role requires a science-based food technology background, strong project management and data-analysis skills, and the ability to communicate across sites.

Qualifications

• Science-based background in food technology or equivalent.
• Experience in quality management within a food manufacturing environment.
• Project management experience with driving improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects within Quality Strategy workstreams and support wider quality activity.
• Plan and deliver Product Platform meetings to drive best practice and consistency.
• Provide technical expertise to bakeries to support recipe changes and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with ingredient suppliers, Centre functions, Innovation, 3rd parties and bakeries to support business growth.
• Act as a subject matter expert within the identified Product Platform and share knowledge across functions.
• Ensure raw material and flour assessments are carried out and reviewed with bakers and suppliers.
• Support procurement to optimise material performance and cost.
• Demonstrate experience in a technical bakery role and with innovative processes.
• Strong communication and relationship-building across internal and external contacts.
