Job summary

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are seeking an experienced Food Production Team Leader to join a leading Leicestershire bakery/food manufacturer on a permanent basis. You will provide leadership for the operatives, ensuring safety and quality, delivering the daily plan and driving cost efficiency.

Role includes mentoring staff, training bakery operators, and handling holiday planning. Salary is £33,500 per annum with rotating day shifts from 6am to 6pm.

Qualifications

• Previous food production team leader experience is required; non-food experience will be rejected.
• Positive, flexible attitude and can-do approach.
• Good communication and influencing skills.
• Organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and take responsibility for operatives in your area.
• Maintain and improve health & safety standards for the area.
• Ensure safety & quality of products produced.
• Delivery: Daily plan completion and reporting deviations from the plan.
• Lead by example and train bakery operators and new product launches.
