Job summary

Lesaffre UK & Ireland is seeking a Bakery Technical Specialist to support NPD and EPD projects, run baking trials and report results.

You will look after bakery equipment, determine needs, and create/update test protocols while advising customers in line with the commercial strategy.

Travel to client sites, trade fairs and events, and train colleagues and external partners on bakery processes, yeasts, sourdough, ingredients and mixes.

Qualifications

• Bakery college or food tech degree required.
• 2+ years baking experience, industrial line preferred.
• Customer-oriented, committed and confident.
• Strong organization, prioritization, proactive problem-solving.
• Ability to work in a team across departments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel.
• Advanced MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Assist in NPD and EPD projects.
• Run baking trials and report results.
• Maintain bakery equipment and identify needs.
• Create and update test protocols.
• Provide technical support following the commercial strategy via bakery process advice.
• Participate in trade fairs and customer events.
• Train and lead technical sessions for colleagues and customers.
• Stay updated on market trends and competition.
