Job summary

Finsbury Food Group's Salisbury site is seeking a Senior Development Technologist to lead day-to-day development of bakery products, with a primary focus on sourdough and hot cross buns. You will translate customer briefs into launches and work with Production, Technical, Operations and Commercial teams to ensure quality, cost and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree preferred in Food science/technology or equivalent.
• Proven bakery product development experience, especially sourdough; hot cross buns and fermented products desirable.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Computer literacy with Word and Excel.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver new bakery products with focus on sourdough and hot cross buns.
• Translate product briefs into commercially successful launches meeting quality, cost and margin targets.
• Collaborate with site cross-functional teams to ensure scalable production.
• Manage critical-path plans and resource allocation to meet timelines.
