Job summary

Allied Bakeries in Stockport is hiring a manufacturing operative for a fast-paced bakery environment. The role offers 42 hours per week with 12‑hour rotating shifts, including days, nights and weekends, and a salary of £37,032–£38,850.

You will help maintain safety, hygiene and product quality, assist production lines and participate in training. Reliability, resilience and a positive attitude are essential to succeed in this role.

Our Grocery Service Centre, based near Liverpool, is a hub for transactional activity across multiple ABF companies within the ABF Grocery division. We deliver Shared Service activities across a wide range of disciplines including Customer Services, Consumer Care, Finance, Payroll, HR and IS.

Overview Of Role

Location: Stockport, Greater Manchester

Salary: £37,032 – £38,850 per year depending on role

Hours: 42 hours per week | 12-hour shifts

Shift Pattern: This role operates 12-hour rotating shifts, on a varied shift pattern, including days, nights and weekends.

What will you be doing?

• Engage in the Safety First culture and compliance with AB internal policies and procedures
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety and housekeeping
• Monitor product quality and consistency
• Support the efficient operation of production lines
• Take part in training and development activities, including 1-to-1 sessions

You’ll be part of a team where everyone plays an important role in keeping our operation moving.

This is a physically demanding role in a fast-paced factory environment, so resilience, reliability and a positive attitude are essential.

What are we looking for?

You don't need to have years of experience within a manufacturing environment to join us (although that would be beneficial)!
