Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an NPD Technologist to join a bakery-focused manufacturing site and lead development from concept through to commercial launch. You will work across retail, foodservice, and QSR to create breads, pastries, and frozen bakery products.

The role involves end-to-end NPD support, factory trials, scale-up activities, and close collaboration with commercial, production, procurement, and supply chain teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in a relevant food discipline.
• Experience in NPD or product development within food manufacturing.
• Strong bakery ingredient/process knowledge and manufacturing environment awareness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and launch bakery products from concept to market.
• Lead product development projects, trials, and scale-up activities.
• Reformulate to improve quality, cost, nutrition and manufacturing efficiency.
• Interpret briefs and market trends to create viable products.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, and suppliers to deliver launches.
