Job summary

Recruitment Wolf is seeking an NPD Technologist focused on bakery products, especially bread, to drive development from concept to launch. You will manage NPD documentation, collaborate across marketing, procurement, quality and production, and contribute to the innovation pipeline with strong ingredient knowledge and sensory assessment.

The role requires a food science background, 2+ years in bakery NPD, and proactive cross-functional teamwork to meet consumer and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Experience of NPD within Bakery sector, bread-focused
• Strong technical knowledge of ingredients, food processes and sensory evaluation
• Ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, procurement, quality and production teams

Responsibilities

• Maintain NPD documentation for brand and non-brand; lead some Bread projects
• Develop and reformulate products from concept to launch
• Carry out concept development for EPD and NPD projects to support the innovation pipeline
• Visit customers as required to understand end user/consumer needs
• Work with costing to ensure new products meet targets
• Collaborate with strategic suppliers to support NPD
• Follow Product Development procedures, ensure compliance with BRC and customer policies
• Provide troubleshooting support to Operations including with harvest transition and cost engineering projects
