Job summary

Drnewitt is seeking a passionate baker or bakery graduate to move from making products to developing them within a growing food manufacturer. You will work with experienced NPD professionals, suppliers and customers to bring bakery concepts from concept through to supermarket shelves.

You will create new bakery concepts, test ingredients and technologies, and produce prototypes in development kitchens while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive improvements and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Has at least 12 months' bakery experience or a bakery qualification.
• Loves baking and enjoys experimenting with ingredients.
• Wants to learn and develop a long-term career in food manufacturing.
• Excellent communication skills and enjoys working with people.

Responsibilities

• Creating exciting new bakery concepts from scratch.
• Testing new ingredients and baking technologies.
• Working hands-on in the development kitchen producing prototypes.
• Improving existing recipes to enhance quality, reduce waste and improve cost.
• Collaborating with Procurement, Technical, Production and Commercial teams.
• Presenting new ideas to internal teams and customers.
• Supporting factory trials and seeing products launched into production.
