Job summary

Allied Bakeries, part of Associated British Foods, is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer for our Walthamstow site. You will maintain bakery equipment across day and night shifts, diagnose faults, and drive reliability improvements to meet site performance targets.

The role requires a time-served apprenticeship with electrical/mechanical expertise, flexible hours, and a proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement. Competitive salary and benefits available.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair automation, electrical and mechanical faults during breakdowns.
• Deliver proactive and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Support and implement the site engineering strategy.
• Lead and deliver continuous improvement projects on time and within budget.
• Contribute to improved site performance through KPIs such as OEE and CCOs.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety and provide training to operators.
