Job summary

JCH Food Services, part of Jenno's Coffee House, a seven-site bakery operation in Leicestershire, seeks a Bakery Manager to lead in-house production for seven outlets and expand to external customers.

You will oversee daily scheduling, team leadership, and recipe development while ensuring top quality, hygiene and stock control. The role offers bonus potential, extensive holiday entitlement, private healthcare, a pension and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial baking experience, ideally in a multi-outlet production environment.
• Experience supervising a production team, including training and performance management.
• Solid knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations.
• Experience managing stock, waste and supplier orders to maintain consistency.

Responsibilities

• Own daily production planning and scheduling to ensure timely delivery to all seven outlets.
• Lead, train and develop the production team and recruitment processes.
• Maintain high standards of quality, hygiene and safety across the operation.
• Manage ingredients and stock, control waste and seek efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with store managers, warehouse and central kitchen to ensure availability.
• Develop recipes and seasonal ranges, support external customers.

JCH Food Services, part of Jenno's Coffee House, a seven-site coffee shop business based in Leicestershire, is looking for a Bakery Manager to take over an existing in house bakery supplying their current outlets, with a view to supply additional non group owned customers.

Your responsibilities as Bakery Manager

• Take ownership of daily production, planning schedules and coordinating orders to ensure all seven coffee houses receive fresh, high-quality products on time.
• Lead, train and develop the production team, supporting recruitment and creating a consistent, efficient working environment.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene and safety across the entire operation.
• Manage ingredients, stock levels and supplier orders, controlling waste and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Work closely with store managers, warehouse and central kitchen teams to maintain product availability and respond to customer feedback.
• Develop existing recipes and introduce new products, including seasonal ranges, while supporting plans to grow the external customer base.

What we're looking for in a Bakery Manager

• Strong commercial baking experience, ideally gained within a production environment supplying multiple outlets or customers.
• Previous experience supervising or managing a team, including training, production planning and performance management.
• Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, health and safety requirements and quality control.
• Experience managing stock, controlling waste and maintaining consistent product standards in a busy production setting.
• A full UK driving licence, access to your own vehicle and the ability to commute to Narborough, Leicester.
