Job summary

Cornish Bakery is seeking a Bakery Manager to inspire teams and deliver outstanding customer service in a busy food environment. The role focuses on coaching staff, driving sales, and maintaining food quality and safety standards.

You will lead by example, manage costs, and nurture a welcoming bakery culture within the local community. A strong emphasis on performance, engagement, and brand standards is required.

Qualifications

• Proven management or supervisory experience in hospitality, food service, café, bakery, or restaurant.
• Experience leading, motivating, and developing teams.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Experience managing sales targets, budgets, and KPIs.
• Food preparation and food service experience.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, food safety, and quality standards.
• Experience in staff training and coaching.
• Ability to manage stock, wastage, and controllable costs.
• Experience working in a fast-paced customer-facing environment.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience in a management or supervisory role within hospitality, food service, retail, café, bakery, or restaurant environments.
• Experience leading, motivating, and developing teams.

• Experience managing sales targets, budgets, and KPIs.
• Food preparation and food service experience.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, food safety, and quality standards.
