Job summary

Cornish Bakery is looking for an experienced Bakery Manager in the Chichester area to lead a busy customer-facing team, uphold food safety standards, and drive sales. You will coach staff, nurture development, and champion our Rise and Shine Programme while embedding a High End Bakery mindset.

This full-time, on-site role offers a competitive package with staff discounts and holiday time; the successful candidate will own costs, meet KPIs, and keep customers at the heart of operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a management or supervisory role within hospitality, food service, or retail.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.

• Ability to manage stock, wastage, and controllable costs.

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience in a management or supervisory role within hospitality, food service, retail, café, bakery, or restaurant environments.
• Experience leading, motivating, and developing teams.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Experience managing sales targets, budgets, and KPIs.
• Food preparation and food service experience.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, food safety, and quality standards.
• Experience in staff training and coaching.
• Ability to manage stock, wastage, and controllable costs.
• Experience working in a fast-paced customer-facing environment.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
