Job summary

Creative Gardens (NI) is seeking a Bakehouse Packing & Dispatch Assistant in Newtownards. You will decorate, package, label bakery items, and prep ingredients for dispatch. Some baking support and van delivery duties may apply.

Experience in a food production setting and Level 2 Food Hygiene are preferred. A full UK driving licence and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food production or kitchen environment.
• Basic food hygiene knowledge (Level 2 Food Safety).
• Full UK driving licence (age 25+ for insurance).

Responsibilities

• Ice cakes, decorate traybakes, chocolate finishing.
• Cut, portion, and pack bakery items.
• Ensure correct labelling of products (ingredients, allergens, dates).
• Quality check finished items.
• Prepare products for dispatch, order picking for each location.
• Weigh ingredients, prepare mixes, fillings, icing, toppings.
• Stock rotation and basic stock handling.
• Dishwashing and clean down duties.
• Possible van driving delivering to our stores (driving licence required).

Bakehouse Packing & Dispatch Assistant, Newtownards (F1022)

Responsible to Bakehouse Production Manager

This role mainly requires the decorating, finishing and packaging & labelling of bakery products ready for crating up and dispatching to our stores. May also involve some preparation of baking ingredients and supporting bakers with the production of various bakery items.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Icing cakes, decorating traybakes, chocolate finishing
• Cutting, portioning and packing bakery items
• Ensure correct labelling of products (ingredients, allergens, dates)
• Quality checking finished items
• Preparing products ready for dispatch, order picking for each location
• Weighing ingredients, preparing mixes, fillings, icing, toppings
• Stock rotation and basic stock handling
• Dishwashing and clean down duties
• Possible van driving delivering to our stores (driving licence required)
• Experience in a food production or kitchen environment
• Good attention to detail, especially with labelling and allergens
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active role
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to follow instructions and processes accurately
• Reliable, punctual, and fulfil required working hours

• Previous bakery or food manufacturing experience
