Job summary

Protea Recruitment Ltd is representing a food manufacturer in North Lanarkshire seeking a Production Manager for the backshift (2pm–10:30pm). You will lead the factory floor team, set clear expectations, and drive improvements in safety, quality and efficiency.

The role emphasises food safety, labelling accuracy, process compliance and yield improvements, with development opportunities through training and performance management. On-site work, no visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a production team on the factory floor.
• Strong focus on food safety, hygiene and traceability.
• Good numeracy and attention to detail.
• Clear spoken and written English to support safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production, setting clear expectations and delivering targets.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys being involved on the factory floor, bringing a team together and seeing the difference their work makes. You’ll lead production on the backshift, keeping standards high, supporting your team and finding practical ways to improve performance.

Key responsibilities

Lead daily production, setting clear expectations and delivering production and service targets.

Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, health and safety, product quality and traceability.

Ensure products meet customer specifications, with accurate labelling and consistent process compliance.

Monitor performance and improve yield, labour efficiency, waste and product giveaway.
