Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver high-quality features powering the Credit platform for partners globally, using Java/Kotlin and microservices.

You will work with product managers and designers, review code, and contribute to DevOps practices while ensuring reliability and performance across cloud services.

This role requires 3+ years of experience, strong JVM skills, RESTful APIs, and a collaborative, agile mindset.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with JVM-based languages Java and Kotlin.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, containers).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver high-quality software features and services powering the Credit platform for global partners.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code across the full SDLC, primarily using Java/Kotlin.
• Participate in architectural discussions and influence platform direction.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues to ensure reliability and performance.
• Review peers' code and provide constructive feedback to drive quality.
• Contribute to engineering practices, tooling, and processes within the team.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end B2B experiences for travel agent partners.
