Hunter Bond in London seeks a Backend Python Software Engineer to join a fast-paced, high-performance trading tech team. Build scalable backend applications, Python-based APIs and distributed systems supporting multiple asset classes. The role partners with traders and researchers to deliver robust, low-latency services in a demanding fintech environment.

You will optimize performance, reliability and scalability while contributing across the full software lifecycle in a collaborative team.

Formación

1-6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Experience building APIs, backend services or microservices.
Understanding of databases, data structures, algorithms and software design principles.
Experience with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure or high-performance applications is advantageous.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline preferred.

Responsabilidades

Design, develop and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications and services.
Build robust Python-based APIs, microservices and distributed systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including traders, quantitative researchers and fellow engineers.
Write clean, maintainable and efficient code, following best practices in software engineering.
