Burns Sheehan Ltd is hiring Software Engineers to help rewrite and scale backend services using Python, FastAPI, and AWS. You will contribute to design, implementation, and production deployments within cross-functional squads in a product-led environment.

Ideal candidates have 2-5 years in backend engineering, experience with microservices, and strong communication to drive initiatives forward in a fast-growing InsurTech landscape.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years backend engineering experience (ideally Python)
• Experience in microservices or modern service architecture
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to take initiative

Responsibilities

• Contributing to the design and development of scalable backend systems
• Working across rotating product squads with full domain exposure
• Deploying and owning your code in production (AWS EKS)
• Collaborating with product and engineering leads to solve complex problems
