Job summary

Harrington Starr is seeking a skilled Python backend engineer to join a small, highly collaborative team in fintech. You will design, build and maintain scalable backend apps and REST APIs, taking features from concept to production.

You will work with Product to shape technical solutions, improve performance and reliability, and contribute to architecture and engineering best practices. Proficiency with Python, Django, AWS, Docker, Git and CI/CD is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience developing applications in Python.
• Experience building scalable backend applications and APIs.
• Experience working on SaaS or product-focused platforms.
• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• A collaborative approach and a passion for writing clean, maintainable code.
• Experience working within Agile engineering teams.

As part of a small, highly collaborative engineering team, you'll have genuine influence over architecture, technical direction and product development.
