Job summary

Grafana Labs is seeking a Backend Engineer for the Platform - Stacks team to design, build, and operate stack-related systems at scale. This remote role supports Grafana Cloud across regions, with emphasis on reliability, scalability, and customer impact.

You’ll collaborate across Product, Platform and Ops, own parts of the control plane, and contribute to reconciliation, deployment, and region rollouts. Experience with Golang, SaaS platforms, Kubernetes, and incident response will help you

Qualifications

At least 1 year of fully remote work experience.
Experience with Golang and backend services.
Experience with SaaS platforms and distributed systems concepts.
Clean, well-tested software development practices.
Willingness to collaborate across teams and define technical direction.
Familiarity with Kubernetes in cloud environments and IaC tooling.
Experience participating in blameless incident response and post-incident reviews.

Responsibilities

Write efficient, maintainable code and build microservices.
Collaborate with product, UX and other teams to reach consensus on solutions.
Coordinate with deployment configurations and system components to ensure reliability.
Contribute to roadmaps, technical design and on-call improvements.
Own production behavior: runbooks, dashboards, alerts, and recovery procedures.
