Job summary

SevenRooms is seeking a backend-focused Software Engineer to design, develop, test, deploy, and improve mission-critical systems. You will partner with engineers, product managers and designers to deliver scalable solutions for the In-Store technology team.

Strong Python/Django experience is preferred, with a passion for customer-facing features and rapid scaling. You will join a small but growing team of engineers shaping hospitality tech leveraging cloud infrastructure and data-driven

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience building web applications with knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• Proficiency with Python (preferred) or another modern backend technology.
• Passionate about customer-facing features and ownership from conception to deployment.
• Collaborative, able to work with cross-functional teams in hospitality tech.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software with a focus on customer-facing features.
• Own features from design to implementation and provide ongoing support.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and code quality; participate in on-call duties.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers and designers to build scalable solutions.
• Work with Python, Django and modern cloud infrastructure to scale systems.
