Job summary

Wise is hiring a software engineer to drive automation across pricing and billing, and to design auditable reconciliation systems for partners. You will influence architecture, participate in code reviews, and work on event-driven stacks like Kafka with MongoDB and MariaDB.

AI tooling will support delivery and quality across the lifecycle. We value long-term ownership, reliability, and collaboration across teams, with a focus on scalability and secure data handling in a regulated payments

Qualifications

Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to contribute to impactful projects.
Experience with Java or similar object-oriented language.
Design systems with long-term scalability and safe iteration.
Accountability for availability, reliability and security of systems.

Responsibilities

Drive automation and centralisation across pricing and billing systems.
Build and extend reconciliation systems for partner pricing and billing accuracy.
Design automated controls around pricing and billing for compliance and integrity.
Deliver secure, auditable solutions with long-term architectural perspective.
Contribute to architectural decisions and code reviews to improve quality and observability.
Improve resilience and scalability of systems supporting external partners.
