Job summary

Ocho in Northern Ireland is seeking Backend Software Engineers to join a growing cloud security platform. You’ll work on data-intensive, distributed systems using Golang and Java in a cloud-native environment, owning services from design to deployment.

You’ll collaborate with Product, Frontend and DevOps, contribute to architecture, and help scale systems across AWS, GCP and Azure. This hybrid role offers ownership, challenge, and real impact on global customers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar.
• Strong experience with Golang and/or Java.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience building data-intensive or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with microservices architectures.

Responsibilities

• Own services end to end: design, build, deploy, monitor, and iterate.
• Contribute to technical and architectural decisions.
• Perform reliability and performance analysis on Golang/Java-based systems.
• Conduct high-quality design and code reviews.
• Work closely with Product, Frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver features.
• Contribute to capacity planning and SLO definition.
• Continuously improve scalability, performance, and reliability.
