The company in London is building the first sustainable parcel delivery network at scale, leveraging an electric fleet and a modern tech stack. You’ll own backend features end-to-end, focusing on distributed systems, reliability, and data-driven decisions that improve driver efficiency and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related STEM field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of backend software engineering experience with distributed systems.
• Proficiency in at least one typed backend language and capability to ramp up on our stack.
• Experience designing, building, and running production services on a major cloud platform (AWS preferred).
• Experience with relational databases and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong collaboration and written/verbal communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Ship features from idea to live, prioritising impact with the squad.
• Write clean, tested, well-documented code that scales.
• Participate in code reviews as author and reviewer to improve quality.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, and Operations to base decisions on data.
• Own production systems: deploy, monitor, and participate in on-call rotations.
