Job summary

HIVED in London is building the first fully electric, scalable delivery network. We’re seeking a backend engineer to own distributed services powering driver apps and delivery flows.

You’ll ship end-to-end features, write clean, well-documented code, and collaborate with Product, UX, and Operations to turn data into reliable, scalable solutions. Join a fast-growing team solving real-world logistics problems with impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related STEM field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 3+ years of backend software engineering experience including distributed systems.
• Proficiency in at least one typed backend language and ability to ramp up on HIVED's stack.
• Experience designing, building, and running production services on AWS.
• Experience with relational databases and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong collaboration and written and verbal communication skills.

• Ship features that matter from idea to live, prioritising impact.
• Write clean, tested, well-documented, scalable code.
• Participate in code reviews and improve quality across the squad.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, and Operations, guided by data.
